2015 Arnold Classic Preview
The 2015 Arnold Classic is right around the corner, March 5th-March 8th. This year the field is comprised of an interesting mix of old and new faces, not to mention some very interesting storylines. One of these stories being that Dexter "The Blade" Jackson will try to record his record-breaking 5th Arnold Classic win. Among the up-and-comers of the crowd are Evan Centopani and Cedric McMillan, while the old faces will be represented by Dexter Jackson and Branch Warren. Although the "records" of these men are interesting to many, I would be curious as to what is the motivation behind the massive amount of work, time, energy and focused lifestyle these results certainly demand. Healthy habits are often in the minds of many, however, the suggestive vanity that these men pictured above represent have far surpassed what constitutes "health". If health is not the ultimate goal, I again ask, rather than records, what is the motivation?
ReplyDeleteThe back story as to why people choose to do bodybuilding has always fascinated me. Personally, I find it a bit strange that some people would want their muscles to be that big, but I'm not one to judge. Just out of curiosity, is this a goal of yours?
ReplyDeleteKelsey, yes this is a goal of mind. I find it to be a true testament to my perseverance, work ethic, and mental toughness! Katelyn, the motivation is the feeling of success, knowing you gave your all for something you love, win or lose!
ReplyDeleteDo these guys win money? If so, is this their career? I always assumed that it was. If not, I would be very interested to know when they have time to do their weightlifting.
